Yes I shall be leaving tomorrow. I shall be taking up a very tough assignment as the participants are really going to be a tough nut to crack.  This is also the first time I am going to go for this also.  Lets see what happens? To spice up things a little bit more, I am not well too.  Pray for me guys that everything goes fine!Really need them!

WOW!No I didn’t buy Vista :-). Today was the official launch of Oracle Database 11g , the newest version of its flagship product, database. I did watch the official launch telecast of it. There are a lot of new features that were announced. Well my thoughts about 11g are some what mixed.  I didn’t feel the earth shattered as it did when 10g came into the market. Oracle database 10g’s arrival was like waiting for Harry Potter’s new book.  All were so much excited as after a long association with “i”, Oracle now was going to use “g” and some thing called Grid Technolgy.And I must say, there are tons of good things that have come with 10g.I completely agree that there are( and will be more coming )with 11g but still I felt, 11g’s launch and its arrival was taken a bit lightly.  The concepts of 10g are used and enhanced in full swing in 11g. There are a lot of new featured discussed in the live webcast of 11g from Oracle and some are really very nice and exciting sounding features too.  Well I am not at all having any position to make up a statement,its just what I felt.

I missed 10g for long when it came. There were a lot of personal reasons for that.  But I hope I shall be able to catch up with 11g this time.  Fingers are crossed!

 

Yes! Oracle Corp’s flagship product , Oracle Database’s newest release 11g is officially launching today. Oracle has changed almost everything how it works from 10g( last release) and 11g will be using the basic grounds of 10g.Its officially being launching today. And in case, you are not personally invited to attend the launch program ( me neither), you can watch it ( thanks to internet) live here.  

 

I went for an hair cut today in the morning. No there is nothing special about it :-). So when I was leaving from there, I saw one institute and I thought to go and have a sneak peak that whether it can help me in some things which I am looking floor.  I went to one floor up and than was sent back to the real place by a couple. Anyhow, I asked the lady on the reception about the details and she asked me to go to another cabin.  Wait alright lets see , I said to myself and I was there.  A lady came called Mona( manager over there) , very pleasant yet having a very impressive personality.  After formal introduction , I explained to her my purpose of visiting the place and also what I am looking for.  So she explained me all the points that she covers in her program and also discussed about what I may need and how would I get that?Well it was a long chat.  I really took a lot of time of hers and I must say that she never said a word even. We discussed a lot of things and I must say that she is a very patient listener.  My impression and vision about her came out that she is a nice, kind hearted , down to earth and intelligent lady.  She heard all what I said and gave some very nice suggestions.  I have no idea on earth what she had thought about me but I hope its not too bad coz of my never ending questions :-).On the whole, very good!

 

I am sure you must be thinking so much that how Aman is posting so much when he is traveling ;-). Well I was supposed to travel from yesterday but my this week tour got canceled and now my next tour will start from this Sunday. So that’s why you are hearing so much from me :-).

I am blogging from some time now on my Blogger blog and on my WordPress blog.  I always wanted to have a website of my own so I made my website on Tripod(free)   and also using APEX technology. I yet have to have a full fledge website of my own, I mean which will be run by me and will also be hosted by me but that too will happen very soon.

For any site, how its accessed and what are the search statistics for it by Google and Yahoo search robots. I was just reading Tim sir’s blog where in one post he has mentioned that Andy C has posted about  Google Webmasters and Yahoo SiteExplorer. I never knew about these two tools so I thought to see whether my sites and blogs are indexed or not? Gladly they are and now the next task for me is to authenticate my blogs and sites with them which is a matter of concern as only Blogger allows to have a template which can be modified and so is Tripod whose site HTML can be modified.WordPress cant be modified as I am a free user and APEX is not registered as my site’s URL is not understood by either Yahoo or Google at the moment :-).

I was reading a mail when this came to me. I guess they are all pretty right! Yup I got back just now in the morning at about 9am. The whole trip was okay, in fact I got some really good comments from the participants and also I came to know that some of my old students referred my name with pride to others.  Its a big thing for a person like me who doesn’t know much.  I really appreciate the trust my students displayed on me and the respect they gave to me.  I definitely learnt some new things, one about ASM and the other about a recovery of the loss of all the redo log files.  That was a really nice thing to learn.

Only one thing was a little upsetting and weird too. When I was leaving from home and caught my bus to Delhi, there was a family in the bus with 2 ladies and 1 gents and some kids.  That guy who was along with those ladies left them in the bus and went some where. Coz of this, bus had to wait for almost 30 minutes.  I was really upset, amazed at the same time seeing all this happening.  Those ladies were creating a scene over there that we will go and look for him.  Huh?Looking for whom, who left the bus 3 km behind and now they were thinking to look for him? They asked bus-conductor to stop the bus.  I was already so pist off and so were the fellow passengers.  I told bus-driver that I am having a flight to catch.  He told those ladies to either find the guy or show the tickets which they didn’t have.  So he asked them to get new ones for which they said they have no money.  Hearing this, I told driver to take it seriously.  He discussed with conductor and finally ordered that family to get down from the bus.  They asked conductor to take them without ticket but he simply refused as it was a government bus and he could lose his job right away if checking would have happened in the way.  So that  family was forced to come down.  I feel sorry for them but there was no other way out and one must take care of this thing that he/she is not the only one.  There are others who may be getting suffering without any reason.

Okay that was past and now present.  The next two classes are going to be the toughest ones.  One coz its already been flopped as there was a clash between instructor and the students and after half delivery, it was called off as the trainer walked out.  Now it has come to me.  I am not worried about the content but now there will be a revenge feeling among students for the next trainer too from which I shall suffer.  Next class is going to be a group of very very senior level persons coming and from the discussion with them, I have figured out that their mentality again would like the lst class I described just now means not to learn but to bug without reason.  Lets see what happens.  And top of that,there is another thing in me which has given me a big tension.  Lets see what has future has in store for me.  Pray for me guys, hope I shall make everything fine!Really need your wishes!Now I shall listen to some music and than will see what to do?There is  a lot to do as I shall be leaving tomorrow morning for almost 10 days( not sure yet but its 99% sure).So see you!But hey before you leave, check out the next post and learn some thing about Female rules :-).
